an Associate Professor of Petroleum Economics and Geopolitics with Petroleum Management Training Center, China National Petroleum Corporation;
a participating Research Fellow of Asian Energy Project at James Baker III Institute in Houston and an Honorary Research Fellow with CBA Energy Institute at University of Houston.
Xu started his work for the petroleum industry from 1983 and his full-time research and consulting career from 1990. Xu is now working for China National Petroleum Corporation and related companies including CPECC and China Oil. He is also serving for several international energy companies, leading information research insititutes and leading energy conference firms, both individually and collectively.
Xu along with his partners/colleagues around the world have been conducting in-depth studies of Asian oil/gas market, energy security, geopolitics of oil and gas and corporate strategic development for international energy companies and research institutions.
